(This is a presidential discretionary award and, therefore, may not be offered each year.)
The Administrator Award recognizes outstanding public service in the support of workforce
development.
CRITERIA
One or more of the following achievements is required for the Administrator Award:
A. Workforce Development Promotion
Play an instrumental role in the positive promotion of one or more workforce development programs at the state and federal levels; state recognition of workforce programs through publications; promoting of a seamless workforce system; strategic planning to accomplish the goals of the workforce system; etc.
B. Legislation
Influencing positive legislation at the state and federal levels to enhance workforce
development through letters to legislatures; speeches; bills introduced at the state and federal levels, etc.
C. Leadership
Demonstration of outstanding leadership in support of existing programs; or initializing new workforce development programs, etc.
D. IAWP Support
Encouragement of participation and promotion of IAWP activities by all partners in the
workforce development system, etc.
