Committees and Chairs - 2007-2008
The Education Committee assists the region hosting Conventions, Conferences, Institutes or Mini-Institutes in obtaining speakers and presenters. They also seek input as to what type of materials should be purchased for the IAWP library. The Education Chair is responsible for tracking the budget allocated for the Education Committee and developing WPDP testing sites. The Chair will also contribute information for the chapter newsletter.
The Awards Committee is responsible for encouraging the membership to submit awards. The committee also makes the selection of winners in each category to be presented at the Montana Spring Convention each year and forwards them to the International Association for consideration of awards at the International level. The Awards Chair will provide activities information for the chapter newsletter.
The Legislative Committee acts as a liaison with the International Congressional Delegation and the membership to promote the efforts of the International Legislative Committee. They will compile Montana's legislative activities for submission to International. The Chair will provide information for the chapter newsletter about activities of the committee.
The Service to Veterans Committee acts as a liaison with the International Service to Veterans Committee and membership to promote the efforts of the International Committee. They recognize outstanding and innovative programs of awareness and furtherment of veteran's interests and rights in the workforce. The Chair will submit activity information for the chapter newsletter.
INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT - Chair (open)
The International Development Committee acts as a liaison with International and the membership to promote the organizations outreach and address the global expansion of workforce development programs. The Chair will contribute information for the chapter newsletter.
SERVICE TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES - Chair (open)
The Service to People with Disabilities Committee will act as a liaison with the International Service to People with Disabilities Committee and membership to promote the efforts of the International Committee. They will recognize outstanding and innovative programs of awareness and furtherment of people with disabilities. The Chair will submit articles for the chapter newsletter relating activities.
The Nominations/Constitution Committee reviews the constitution each year, proposes and distributes proposed amendments to the membership so that a vote may be taken at the Spring Convention. The Committee also solicits the membership to obtain nominations for officers.
This committee edits and oversees the publication of the four chapter newsletters per year and any other publications.
