The Communication Award recognizes chapters that have utilized multi-communication methods for the purpose of sharing information and promoting IAWP activities and initiatives to both members and the public.
A. Chapter Newsletter
1. Frequency: A maximum of 6 issues produced in the rating year may be submitted. Electronic communication methods will be considered for inclusion for total number of issues providing evidence has been supplied that a hard copy has been distributed to individuals who do not have
access to electronic communication means.
2. Format: Does the newsletter follow prescribed formatting for identification, consistency, dating, graphic techniques, proper division, etc?
3. Journalistic Style: Does the newsletter reflect originality, adhere to journalistic style, contain newsworthy content, include tasteful articles and contain proper grammar?
4. Coverage: Does the newsletter cover IAWP events?
B. Chapter Web site
Does the chapter have a Web site with content of value to IAWP members?
C. E-mail or Intranet
Does the chapter use e-mail as a means of communicating with members?
D. Print Materials
Does the chapter produce and distribute other print materials that promote international- and/or chapter-level IAWP benefits?
E. Mainstream Media
Has the association or local chapter been featured in a local newspaper, radio or television spot.
